FROM: Town Administrator and Selectmen

Happy St Patrick’s Day – at the writing of this update, there has been no cases of Covid-19 reported in Chester. This is definitely a blessing.

The Transfer Station will continue to hold its regular days and hours but here are a few things to remember while you are there. (What a great time to start spring cleaning !!)

To help prevent the spread of Coronavirus at the Transfer Station. PLEASE:
• Dump your trash, and recycling quickly
• Buy more stickers at one time & make fewer trips
• Keep a safe distance (6 feet) from other users and attendants
• Don’t linger on the premises to visit
• Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer after leaving transfer station
Please no loose trash at all, everything must be bagged

One thing to remember, everything we are asking you to do is for precautions. Please take the time to relax, read a book, watch a movie, do a jigsaw puzzle, take a walk, practice yoga, bake a batch of cookies, anything to take a break of the stress caused by the Coronavirus.

Please remember to practice social safe distancing, at least 6 feet. And again, if you are sick or have any of the symptoms, we are asking that you self-quarantine until you are at least 24 hours with absolutely no symptoms.

It is going to be okay, just going to take some time for things to be back to normal.
