5/5/20 – Coronavirus Update from Town Administrator and Selectmen

DATE: May 5, 2020 at 5:00pm
FROM: Town Administrator and Selectmen

Good day and thank you for your support in keeping Chester healthy.

The Governor’s administration, following the recommendation of the Center for Disease Control, has ordered all residents to wear face masks in public beginning tomorrow, May 6th. More information is available on the Mass.gov website here.

The seed-share was a great success and there are still some seeds left on the Town Hall steps until 3:00 today and Wednesday. Please help yourself to the vegetable and flower seeds that were generously donated to the town from Walmart, through the efforts of one of their employees who is a town resident.

Finally, as of today, Chester has another positive case of COVID19. We must continue to be vigilant in social distancing, wearing masks, and practicing effective hand washing. Recommendations and updates from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health are available here. Please do your part in flattening the curve and combating this disease.

Thank you!
