Governor Baker has allowed citizens three ways to vote for the State Primary to avoid crowding at the polls on September 1.
For those who want to vote in person, we ask that masks are worn and social distancing be in place. Bring your own pen if you wish. The polling booths will be sanitized after each use.
1. Vote by mail: Your application must reach the Town Clerk’s office no later than August 26 and the ballot needs to be returned by 8PM on September 1 to the Town Clerk. You are encouraged to return your application as early as possible to make sure you receive your ballot in time and return it and have it counted.
2. The Chester Town Hall will be open for early voting in-person for the September 1 State Primary on the following days and times:
Saturday, August 22: 10:00AM-1:00PM
Sunday, August 23: 2:00PM-4:00PM
Monday, August 24: 3:00PM-5:00PM
Tuesday, August 25: 10:00AM-12:00PM
Wednesday, August 26: 1:00PM-3:00PM
Thursday, August 27: 1:00PM-3:00PM
Friday, August 28: 3:00PM-5:00PM
3. The Polls will be open Tuesday, September 1 from 7:00AM to 8:00PM.
