Business Certificate Application
Individuals or businesses operating under a name other than their own legal name are required to file a Business Certificate (DBA) with the Town Clerk’s Office in accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 110, Section 5. Completed applications may be submitted to the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours. Please contact the Town Clerk with any questions regarding filing requirements or renewals.

How Do I Register to Vote?

- In person at the Town Clerk’s office during posted office hours
- By mail – use the mail-in application that are available at the town hall, library and post office
- At the Registry of Motor Vehicles

2027 Senior Work-Off Program
The Town of Chester is now accepting applications for the FY27 Senior Work-Off Program. This program allows eligible Chester seniors to earn a real estate tax reduction by volunteering in various town departments.
Program Overview
Eligible seniors volunteer in approved municipal departments and earn a credit toward their property tax bill. Departments must pre-approve positions each year.
