Notice of Price Quote Request: Town Hall Boiler Removal and Replacement

The Town of Chester invites price quotes for energy efficiency upgrades to the heating system at their Town Hall located at 15 Middlefield Road, Chester, Massachusetts 01011. The current boiler is old, inefficient and oversized as its use has been reduced over years of operations as the building has been modified and renovated. The work is estimated to costs $40,000.

The qualified responsible contractor offering the lowest price shall be awarded the contract subject to availability of funds under the Green Communities Grant program and directly from the Town of Chester. The Town of Chester is looking to get this project completed as soon as possible.

Bids are due at the Chester Town Hall by Monday, December 14th at 2:00pm. Quotes will be open and read at this time.

Potential bidders are required to visit the site and inspect the existing installation before submitting their bid. Please contact Kathe Warden, Town Administrator, to obtain copies of the specification or to set up an appointment. Potential bidders will not be allowed to enter the building without an appointment.

This project is being administered by the Town of Chester with assistance from the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) and is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, FY2018 Green Communities Grant Program and the Town of Chester.
