Hilltown CDC Hilltown Easy Ride Transportation Program for Seniors

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to formally provide you with an update on the change in Demand Response transportation provider for the Southern Hilltowns from Huntington over to the Hilltown CDC, through their Hilltown Easy Ride transportation program.

As many of you are already aware, the driver for Huntington had retired back in March and, with no back up driver to continue operations, the program had been suspended for several weeks.

Trying to minimize total system downtime and working towards a long-term solution, we have decided to partner with the Hilltown CDC to take over services for the Southern Hilltown region.

Hilltown CDC has been providing Demand Response transportation services to the Northern Hilltown region for the last several years taking over services previously operated by the Goshen COA, so we are confident that they will continue do an equally good job with providing Demand Response transportation services for the Southern Hilltowns.

Attached is a copy of the updated Demand Response brochure including Southern Hilltowns. The call-in number for Hilltown CDC is 413-296-4232, but all existing hours and days of service and operating service area remain the same.

Current Southern Hilltown Demand Response clients can continue to request transportation without the need to complete another application for service, but I’ve also attached a copy of the Demand Response application to share for anyone who has yet to apply. We ask that you please share this updated information through your local newsletters, websites, and any other networks available to help get the word out.

If you have any questions about our Demand Response service or about the transition to Hilltown CDC, please feel free to contact me anytime – my contact information can be found below.

Thank you,
