The Russell Select Board will conduct a Public Hearing on March 18, 2025, at 6:30 PM in Russell Town Hall, 65 Main Street, Russell, MA, regarding a proposed FY2025 application by the Towns of Russell, Chester, Huntington and Middlefield to the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development for up to $1,250,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds. The Town of Russell is the lead community. The projects under consideration include:
• Woronoco Village Construction Project (Russell)
• Housing Rehabilitation (Russell, Chester, Huntington, and Middlefield)
• Public Social Services (Russell, Chester, Huntington, and Middlefield)
If awarded, the Town of Russell will be responsible for administration of the grant program, with assistance from the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission.
All persons with questions or comments regarding the grant application will have an opportunity to be heard.
