A Town Administrator position is open in Chester MA (pop. 1258), located in the hilltowns of Western Mass. Candidate should possess leadership experience, sound judgment and strong budgeting skills. Position reports to a three-member Select Board. Duties include, but not limited to, overseeing town departments and employees appointed by the Board; Personnel and grant administration; budget preparation and general management of fiscal operations within the town; development of short and long range fiscal plans; chief procurement officer; administer insurance contracts.
Strong organizational, analytical, written and oral skills are essential. Minimum qualifications, BA/BS in Public Administration or related field and/or at least three years relevant experience in a senior level supervisory/managerial roll.
