Proposed FY 2022/2023 CDBG Application

The Russell Select Board will conduct a Public Hearing on February 7, 2023 at 6:00 PM in Russell Town Hall, 65 Main Street, Russell, MA regarding a proposed FY2022/2023 application by the Towns of Russell, Chester, Huntington and Middlefield to the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development for up to $1,700,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds. The Town of Russell is the lead community. The projects under consideration include:

• Blandford Stage Road Infrastructure Design/Build Project (Russell)
• Valley View Avenue Infrastructure Design/Build Project (Russell)
• Woronco Road Infrastructure Design/Build Project (Russell)
• Housing Rehabilitation (Russell, Chester, Huntington, and Middlefield)
• Public Social Services (Russell, Chester, Huntington, and Middlefield)
• Middlefield Senior Center Rehabilitation (Middlefield)

If awarded, the Town of Russell will be responsible for administration of the grant program, with assistance from the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission.
