FY24 Proposed Assessed Valuations

In accordance with guidelines established by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, the Board of Assessors has received Preliminary Certification for the Fiscal Year 2024 for all properties in Town. These are the Preliminary Assessed Values upon which the actual Fiscal 2024 Tax bills will be based. The results are that all property assessments were adjusted to reflect full and fair cash value as of January 1, 2023, based on sales between Jan 1, 2021 and December 31, 2022. The Revaluation resulted in real estate value increases that range between 4% to 9%, unless there was a significant upgrade because of improvements.
