Annual Christmas Tree Lighting – November 28

All are invited to the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, November 28th, at Veterans Memorial Park in Chester. The park is on Route 20 next to the Hamilton Memorial Library with ample parking at the former Chester Elementary School. The tree will be lit at 6:30PM followed by carol singing after which hot cocoa, coffee, and cookies will be served at the Chester Town Hall. In addition to refreshments, there will be crafts for the kids, and local photographer Kim Fox will be on hand to take Christmas backdrop photos (photos available for a fee). This annual event is held rain, snow, or shine and is free and sponsored by the Chester Recreation Committee, Chester Municipal Electric Light Department, and Mel’s Kitchen, with a special thank you to Chester Fire Department and Chester-Blandford Police Department who will both be on hand at the lighting.
