Historic Chester Factory Village Presentation: Are you interested in the history of Chester? Do you love old photographs? Join us at the library on Saturday, November 14th at 10AM for a special presentation by Chester Historical Society’s secretary, James Higby. James, a local cartographer and geographic information scientist, will combine his passion for old photographs with his love of history as he takes us on a journey to Chester’s past, exploring Factory Village with his series of 3-D elevation maps and high-quality copies of old photos. RSVPs are appreciated. Call 413-354-7808.
Book Club: Meets the third Wednesday of every month at 4:30PM (Oct. 21st). In November, we will discuss the book, “The Six”, the true story of America’s first women astronauts, by Loren Grush. Join us in learning how and when NASA opened up their candidate pool to include women and learn how these inspiring women have impacted our space program. Extra copies are available.
